Information for Students

Change of Address

UoAIC must have your updated personal details in case of emergency. It is student’s responsibility (a condition of your visa) to ensure that UoAIC has accurate up to date details at all times, including current address.

Copyright

Students and teachers are required to be aware of the terms of the Copyright Act and the conditions it imposes on schools. This is available on Blackboard and on Campus.

Correspondence and Communication

It is essential that students check email regularly – this is the students’ responsibility. The International Student Support Team communications (on fees reminders, visa information, etc.) will be sent electronically to the student’s Campus email address.

This address is also accessible via account.up.education.

Copies of letters are sent to parents and agents via email. Students may also request a hardcopy of the letter.

ID Cards

Students will be issued with UoA ID Cards by UoA. Please see the links below to find out how, and what you can do with the cards.

Campus Card

AT Concession Card

Lost Property

All lost property should be handed in to Reception.

Transport

  • Students are strongly advised to use public transport to and from Campus.
  • Parking is difficult and expensive and driving at peak times can be stressful and cause unexpected delays.
  • Parking difficulties do not provide an adequate reason for being out of class or for being late.
  • Similarly, transport problems are not a reason for being late or absent unless these are clearly outside the student’s control.

Verifying Documents

Sometimes copies of documents need verification. The University of Auckland will often need the signature of a Senior Leader to verify the student’s UoAIC New Zealand Statement of Results. In all cases, originals or certified copies must be presented before new copies can be verified.

Medical and Travel Insurance

All international students on Campus are required to have medical insurance.

Please click here to find information.

Student Visa and Student Permit

International students must hold a valid student visa before commencing the programme they are currently enrolled in. This is the law in New Zealand.
