The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies (Level 3) programme is taught at 345 Queen Street, Auckland and around the world, online.
The programme is designed to prepare international students for entry into a University of Auckland undergraduate degree programme. We aim to equip all students with the skills to succeed at University.
All sessions are held in New Zealand Standard Time.
Session 1: Intro to University of Auckland (UoA) and University of Auckland International College (UoAIC) | ||

Session 2: UoAIC Subject Selection | ||

Information about UOA entry requirements and information about subjects will be given. Students will then be able to ask questions and then fill in the MS Form for subject selection. |
Session 3: Introduction to Digital Tools | ||

Session 4: Getting the most out of your study | ||

Take students through tips and guidance for learning – both online and onsite. Making the most out of lesson times, how to communicate effectively with your teachers, planning your independent study time.

Session 5: Live Lesson 1 | ||
3:00pm – 4:00pm Online, Microsoft Teams Julian Latimer, Head of College UOAIC | All new students – both onshore and offshore. This session is the first of two Live Lessons on NZ Culture. This is to give students a taste of what online learning looks like, and to allow them to practise with the digital tools. At the end of this Live Lesson, the students will be given instructions and a code to access their Flexible Learning Activity that will need to be completed before the Live Lesson on the following day.
